The entry list for the Luxembourg Open has been announced and it shows a potentially welcome return for Victoria Azarenka after the Belarusian was offered a wild card.
The tournament, which will start on 16 October, will be the first that Azarenka will have entered since her well-publicised withdrawal from the US Open following her child custody battle. Azarenka is likely to decide after 12 October whether she will actually play the tournament, but it is a welcome sign that she is on the list in the first place.

Britain’s Heather Watson and exciting prospects Marketa Vondrousova and Oceane Dodin – who featured in our post about why the WTA should have a Next Gen finals – also make the entry list.
